Use the form below to submit a roughly 100-word story idea for possible inclusion in an upcoming Story League Story Contest (IMPORTANT: 1) Please include month of show you’re submitting for in the subject line of your message; 2) Online story submissions end TWO HOURS before the contest begins):

May 16: Psychic Phenomena – ESP, telekinesis, séances, spiritualism, weird coincidences. Remember: True stories only!
June 20: Friend, Defriend, Refriend – Stories on a friendship where “it’s complicated.”
July 18: “Art” – Stories about creative projects that are good, bad, or questionable. PROPS ALLOWED (Please describe which item you will bring onstage)
RULES FOR STORY LEAGUE STORY CONTESTS: You may submit your story idea online (here), or at the beginning of each contest, at the venue. Our three expert judges will then select the 9 stories they most wish to hear that night. You will have a maximum of 7 minutes, with a warning at 6 minutes, to tell your story. Your story must be true and told without notes or props. At the end of the night, the judges will announce their pick, and the audience will also pick a winner. The prize for best story as awarded by the judges is $100 cash. The audience favorite receives a Story League t-shirt.

NOTE: ONLINE STORY SUBMISSIONS END 2 HOURS BEFORE THE CONTEST, BUT YOU CAN WRITE OUT A SLIP AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CONTEST AND HAND TO THE EMCEE) We will acknowledge receipt of your submission, but you will not hear back from the judges. The judges will consider your idea and we will announce AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CONTEST which 9 contestants will go on.
